Rage Against The Machine is also known as RATM and began in Los Angeles in 1991. The band members are Zack de la Rocha, guitarist Tom Morello (Vocals), Tim Commerford (bassist), and Brad Wilk (drummer). RATM got its inspiration not only from alternative and rock bands but from rappers and heavy metal as well. This band has a very different style that incorporates all of these different types of genres. The band released their first album that was self-titled in 1992. It wasn’t until 1996 that the band released their third album called “Evil” which was on the top 200 billboards. And their most famous single “Bulls on Parade” was performed on SNL the same year. The band became the most popular and political band in modern music in 1999. The band was definitely risky with their music and sends empowering messages. After breaking up around 2000 Monello went solo called “One man’s revolution” which was released in 2007. In 2008 the band did reunite and played live around the world in 2008-2009. RATM’s style rhymes the lyrics with drums and guitars carrying the words. There has not been any band that has copied this type of music.
